DIY Spirulina Growth Kit
Everything you need to grow, harvest, and eat your own live Spirulina superfood! The kit includes: Detailed instructions, 1 liter bottle of live Spirulina, high-temperature heater with thermostat, glass thermometer, timer for heater (to keep Spirulina cool at night), quiet air pump, 3′ of air hose, air bubbler/diffuser, 4 clips, harvest hose, 100 pH strips (to check the culture’s alkalinity), 50 micron harvest cloth, 1 bottle of iron juice good for 500L of culture, 2x 10-gallon packs of Starter mix, and 1.6 lbs. of Make-up mix (good for about 5 lbs. of algae harvest). If you pick up the kit at a workshop, it will include a 10-gallon tank. If you buy the kit online, you will have to provide your own tank, which can be up to 20 gallons in size (any bigger, and you’ll need to buy extra Starter Mix to fill the tank with culture). The cost is the same because shipping costs about as much as providing a tank.
